Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old system of natural healing that has its origins in the Vedic culture of India. Tibetan medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine both have their roots in Ayurveda. Early Greek medicine also embraced many concepts that can be found in the classical ayurvedic medical texts that are thousands of years old.
Ayurveda is a science of life (Ayur = life, Veda = science or knowledge). It offers a complete system and a wealth of knowledge designed to help people stay strong and vital, while realizing all that they are truly capable of. Ayurveda teaches that there is an ideal daily and seasonal routine, diet, behavior and the proper use of our senses, Ayurveda instructs us that health is the balanced and flexible integration between our environment, body, mind, and spirit.
Elemental Ayurveda offers a wide range of holistic alternative wellness programs. Each program is designed to meet the clients personal needs. The programs involve Ayurvedic Life-stlye changes. These changes would involve food/nutrition/cooking, developing an individual Yoga Practice/Routine, Ayurvedic Life-style programs and meditative practices.
Ayurvedic Consultation
We will use Ayurvedic assessment tools (pulse, observation, tongue and history) to determine your Ayurvedic constitution. A personal life-style plan will be developed.
At your personalized consultation, we will work with each client to analyze the ayurvedic constitution (Prakriti), determine any imbalances in the three biological/elemental rhythms or forces according to ayurveda (Vata, Pitta, Kapha), and educate clients in ayurvedic living.
First time clients can expect the following:
Each client fills out a health history and a Dosha questionnaire as well as an evaluation that will cover any past or present health conditions.
After filling out the paperwork we will do a full energetic/elemental exam that will include palpation, tongue and nail exam and an Ayurvedic pulse exam.
During the initial consultation, we will discuss the questionnaire and evaluation and begin the process of working out a collaborative plan.
We will educate clients on approaches to health with individualized guidance according to the Dosha and imbalances that are present. We will be utilizing fresh food, spices, herbs. A Dinacharya (daily practice) will be developed using Yoga and meditation. We also have many healing techniques that will be used when appropriate. Panchakarma a cleansing practice may be use to assist you in healing and clearing the body of toxin.
Every session is personalized and we will work as a team to make these life-style changes a solid positive change. We will focus on the reduction of stress, improving digestive fire and strengthening the immune system.

Marma Chikitsa Therapy
Marma Therapy is 107 acupressure points that effect the flow of energy in the body It is a gentle therapy that stimulates lymphatic flow, improves circulation and overall health. It is practice with clothing on using hands, fingers, essential oils and different size Kansa bowls.

Abhyanga
Abhyanga is an Ayurvedic practice of using warm medicated oil as part of a Panchakarma therapy or as a stand alone therapy. When used as part of a Panchakara session it is follow with a Svedana (steam therapy). Different herbs and oil will be used depending on: the season, your Dosha and your imbalance. Base oil are Sesame, Coconut, Sunflower, Mustard and Almond. This is a light gentle treatment with the focus on the application of oil. Traditional massage has its focus on deep muscle manipulation. and getting the herbs.

Shirodhara is a gentle Ayurvedic therapy that slowly pours warm medicated oil over the forehead and hair. Shirodhara can be used as a stand alone therapy or as part of the Panchakarma detoxification process. The oils and herbs that are used will vary depending on your Dosha (constitution), the season and your imbalance.

Hasta-Abhyanga
Hasta-Abhyanga is a beautiful treatment for the arms and hands. Herbs, oil and poultices and different Kansa bowls are combined with Marma points to balance and rejuvenate.
